Diella, Ethan, and their 4 grandparents! And they have SIX great grand parents!
The bottom picture, she took one leggin off, and fell asleep like this... how I used to sleep when I was a kid, bum in the air, hehe. And those stuffed animals, she put there! I walked in & saw em like that, cracked up, had to take a pic!
Diella, we think, might be hitting her terrible 2s. I guess it COULD be still adjusting to the new addition to our family, but she never seems to be bothered by him, or the fact that she has to share our attention with him. In fact, she still hugs & kisses him and I just thought she would tell us if she had a problem with it. Well lately she cries at So much! Mostly when she’s told no and stuff, but sometimes for it seems no reason! (like just now, she was trying to take her sock off & couldn’t, so she cries!) And sometimes she gets mean, like sasses, “No!” and even once in a while she’ll hit! I dunno what’s goin on, but it breaks my heart. It’s not all the time, and we try to talk her through things, its just something we’re going through that I totally don’t understand. (like once I thought maybe it WAS jealousy, so I put Ethan down & picked her up & hugged and snuggled her, but she whined some more, and it didn’t work?) I’m sure it’ll pass, I just wish I knew why, so I could help it.
Like she got put in time out for disobeying. She cried for a little bit, and I finally asked “why are you crying?” And she paused for a minute and goes “eat” … I said “its not time to eat yet” and she goes “EEEeeeeaaaat!” sigh*
As I was on the computer, she was typing keys, I asked her not to. She did it again when I wasn’t looking, and then she pointed to the computer and said “not nice”… I said ‘what did you do?’ … she said not nice again, so I put her in time out. But it was crazy cuz it was like she told on herself. She did this another time, which I actually thought was kinda cool… My mom told me she saw red crayon all over every key of the piano. I didn’t even remember giving her crayons that day, so I was a bit confused. So I showed Diella & reminded her that we draw only on paper (which she knows & tells me all the time), and as I clean it, she points to it and says “candle” … so I realized she had gotten this red candle from her room & rubbed it up and down the piano keys. Again, it was like she told on herself… so I felt I really couldn’t punish her at that point, of course.
Well on a brighter note, she is still fun & entertaining! There are some new things she’s learned and worked on pronouncing correctly, that she says so adorably & perfectly! Like “Mickey Mouse” and “piggy bank” and “kangaroo” and “jump on your bed.” Actually, the first time she tried to say kangaroo, it came out cow-foo-foo, hehe… but we went through each syllable and she gets it right now… but cow-foo-foo was cute!
I cracks me up, lately to her, everything is pretty. Ahna took her outside and she said ‘trees pretty’ (my mom thought it was funny cuz the trees were all bare & ugly)… she often says that her hair or my hair, or her clothes or my clothes are pretty… and a few times lately she says ‘mommy’s lips, pretty’ … then she even followed up with Ahna’s lips pretty and Papa’s lips pretty, Ha!
When she was a baby, and being held, she was always happier when you were standing & not sitting while holding her. It was funny, like if she was fussy, all you had to do was stand up & she was better! Well, now when she says Uppie & you pick her up (if you’re sitting… ) she says ‘stand up’ … crazy! Why does she like this better? And how funny that she was like that as a baby & it’s stuck!
She sings this lil ditty.. “Ahna Mommy Ahna Mommy Ahna Mommy” all the time, hehe its so cute!

She used to sleep in til 8-8:30, like always... lately she's been getting up around 7... Boooo
When she got all her Easter stuff this year, (oh, which by the way, was a TON! From her Ahna, from my gramma, and from Dave & Marijke, who got her tons of stuff!) as we looked at each thing, we would kinda gasp and say wow & everything… well this was the first time she did it too, gasped. It was cute! Now she does it all the time at things that excite her, I love it!
I have a trait that I am so glad I did not pass on to Diella… I’m horrible with names… in fact, she’s just the opposite! I cant even believe how she remembers people, let alone their names! A few months ago we saw Aunt Jeannie at Outback & she was gonna watch Diella the next day, and it jus surprised me that when Aunt Jeannie walked in the door, Diella screeched “Jeannie!” … and she’s got the family book of faces that my sis made her… I go over it with her seldom, but one day I did, and the next day, she remembered Uncle Tom, who we don’t see Too often… and then we started going to class, where he also went, once a week, and she knew his name… same with Aunt Alise, after only once telling her her name, she gets it right every week now! Same with the Disney characters on her memory game… there are So many different cards, and some of them I don’t even know HOW she knew the name! Like Snow White, she showed it to me the other day & said Snow White, I never even taught her that & Ahna said she didn’t either! Strange! Also, most of them I’ve only told her their names once, and she knows Simba, Genie, Mickey Mouse, Peter Pan, Mrs. Pots, Goofy, and Tinker Bell!

I love the pics! especially love the one of all the grandparents. Lucky babies to have so many grandparents, huh!? I think it is very funny that both D and A hang their animals from the edge of their crib. I guess they ARE related ;-) I wonder if Aria is starting some of the same stuff you described... aka last night on Skype! I was thinking it was bc she was tired... I'll let you know if she acts like that when she isn't. Wow this is a long comment.
