Soooo Much!!!

There were so many pictures taken the past few days! And So Many new things we learned!! This was just a fun one, sittin in daddy's guitar case!

One morning I took a big sigh, then Diella copied, so I tried again & she copied again! I love this monkey-see monkey-do stuff!

She has a word for bunny... it's bucky... but at least she's trying! She and I both have bunny slippers, and I'll get a picture soon of us both wearing them... but I'll ask her to go get the bunny slippers and she loves to wear them together! Oh then she kisses my bunnies on the mouth :)

Craziest thing lately with Diella, she understands EVERYTHING I'm saying... like she wore these jamies the other night that have a hippo on em, so I say "Diella, go show Ahna your jamies" ... and she walks over to Ahna and looks down at her jamies!... Then yesterday (dressed up for church) I said, "Diella, I like your dress" She looks down at her dress and points to it!! I have never taught her the words dress, or jamies, or 'go show Ahna' !!!!.... AND tonight at then end of her bath, I said, "ok, pull the plug out" (to let the water drain)... sure enough! She reaches down and does it!!! This girl just KNOWS!!!

She does these few cute little things that I dunno what they mean yet. She does this slow, flirty blink... no clue why, but its hilarious & adorable! And also this repeated shoulder shrug... I dont think she's shrugging 'I dunno' but who knows? And she touches the back of her head sometimes, and she's looking into my face like she's trying to communicate something to me, but I havent the slightest what she's tryin to get at...

We play this new game... I decided that Diella and I were gonna share secrets! So I say Diella, let me tell you a secret... and she's learned how to put her ear up to my mouth & I just go pss pss pss... she smiles... then I say, now you tell Me a secret & I put my ear to her mouth... she doesnt do anything, but I giggle like she told me something funny.... I Love This Game With Her!!

And a few new things we've written down that she's finally gotten the hang of! She can find her ears when we ask her where they are! (still not eyes, nose or mouth yet, only someone else's nose... weird)... but she also finally has the animal sounds down for a horse & a dog! She'll just make this high pitched sound for a horse, and I've taught her how to pant like a dog, instead of bark.... we're still working on a lion's roar... and the rest of the parts of the face, but she's doing really well I think!!




Not in focus, but she Brought me this blue bin & I asked her if she wanted to go in there... she nodded, I handed her her binky & blanket (it was about nap time)... and I swore she was gonna fall asleep in there... but she didnt, it was just for fun!










Ahna was showing me how to write! And I scribbled on my own for the first time!!! Mommy dated it & kept it!

Diella learned how to open the dish washer, and then she decided to climb up & sit on the door... ummm great... well there are knives within reach, so we're not for that, no... so now we have to keep the lock on the washer latched.... sigh*

Yes, I put another set of fake teeth in her mouth, but these ones dont look half as bad as the last pair... you just Cant make this girl look anything less than beautiful!

These shots were cool, but didnt come out as nicely as I had planned... but still, this girl makes any picture look good!

I could NOT get her to look at the camera, but you should see a good angle of her in this hat! It's one that mommy wore when she was a baby! SO Cute on her!!!

"Aunt Alethea, can I have some'a your chicken??!!" And then she just took a big bite! So funny! She even did fine chewin it all up! She likes meat, yay!

Blows Me Away!

Havent taken any new pix since last blog, so here's one of Ahna with the babies!!!

I havent been blogging much lately because nothing has been new, then all of a sudden, she did so many new things! One is that she's practically running! I wouldnt say officially yet, but this girl MOVES!

Last night she kept whispering this word, and I dunno where she got it or why she was saying it, but it was Clear As Day, "Happy" and she said it over & over... and we'd ask her to say happy, and she'd say it again! Funny thing is, she only whispers it, hasnt said it out loud, haha!

My mom says she loves how Diella has been so distinctly communicating, like yesterday the two of them were in the laundry room (where Diella gets her baths)... and she pointed to the utility sink (where we bathe her) and she said & signed bath... she was ASKing for a bath! So I gave her one!

Ok, Diella loves water & she loves milk! But funny thing is, she wont take milk from a sippy cup... to Diella, water comes in a sippy cup, milk comes in a bottle... i want to get her away from the bottle soon... i tried once before, and again last night, putting milk in a sippy cup, she took it, stared at it like 'thats Not water' then took a sip, then looked at it again, and handed it back... it confuses her... dangit! it was funny tho! Hehe, we'll keep trying...

Oh there's a few animals sounds she's trying... she tries to Meow, she tries to whiney like a horse... she panted like a dog the other day, but its not consistent...

she sorta does the sign for baby, but it looks like the same thing she does for love, so i'm not sure

She made me cry yesterday! We were in the car, dada, me & Ahna... trying to keep Diella occupied on a slow, backed-up street... we were going through eyes ears nose mouth, that kind of thing... when Diella gives hugs or kisses out, we say "aw" and "thats nice!" and lately she's been wrapping her arms around herself and moving side to side, (I've never tried to teach her the sign for love) but now when we ask her if she loves something, she does this... so then we asked her to say love, and she puckers up and reaches toward mommie for a kiss, so I bend down & give her a kiss, and she crosses her arms in front of her & then points right to me!!! Never taught her how to say I love you, and she just did it!!! I felt SOOOO Loved!!! Me & Ahna's mouths drop open, I throw my hands over my mouth & had immediate tears... it was the greatest feeling! Then she did it a second time... such a special moment!!!

I feel like there's a few things I'm forgetting, but I'll keep you posted!

Number 8!!!

Diella got the sign for Thank You!!!! Finally!!! That's the eighth sign she's learned!!! Yay! Did it last night!

When I wake her up each morning lately, the first thing she does is smile really big, like her funny face smile, then stick her foot up towards me & roll her toes, funny girl!

Ya know the game Papa taught her, to touch this, then that, etc.... well its her favorite! Now she even plays it by herself! Went to the grocery store yesterday & she was so good! She was walking in this aisle, touching (but not knocking over) item by item, it was so cute!!

And lately I put her in this big blue chair that spins, and I took her hands and put them on the arms and said "Hold on tight" ... and i would spin her & she loves it! I would say "Weeeeee!" and now when she wants a ride on it, she points to it & makes this high sound, like weeee, and i help her up & say hold on tight & her lil arms reach to each side grab the chair tight, and off we go!

Tractor, boots, beach, alligator

Last blog, I said how she does Bbbbb for car sound, well now she does it when you ask her what does a car say... or whenever she sees a tractor or anything with wheels! Here's her doin the sound when Ahna put her ON the tractor!

See? I told you she likes puttin on shoes... here's a pic! (couldnt get a pic of her doin the 'aw' thing)

We went to the beach! She really enjoyed playing in the sand! I was glad, cuz last time she touched sand, she really wasnt sure.... and she wasnt a big fan of the water (the pool she is...) but the lake had huge waves that day... she sat with a shovel and pail and entertained herself for quite some time, it was great!

And she's got this alligator chair... whenever I say "Alligator!!!" she throws herself onto him, burries her face in it... its so cute!

(I tried over & over again to separate these paragraphs... I dunno why I cant... sorry about them running together)

She has always loved to open & close things... lately every door we walk into, I ask her to open it, then on the way out, shut it... same with even the microwave door! Hehe

She's learned to use a fork!!! Never tried it before until the other day.... first few tries she got it!!! Not 100% of the time she can spear it right... but sometimes... then right into her mouth, she does great!

Oh my gosh, she repeats this thing over & over lately... its like G-th-g-th-g-th real fast (do it, hear what it sounds like)... sounds a little like 'good good good' ... so I ask her to say good good & she does this... you gotta hear it!

Every time she sees a brush, she plays with her hair... so now I say 'Diella, brush your hair' and she either does it with her hand or with a brush! (usually the wrong side of the brush, but still CUTE!)

I realized when we say 'ew' or 'gross' she sticks her tongue out! Like out then in & over again, Ha!

Once in a while Papa will hold her & walk around the house saying 'you wanna touch that? ok touch that' ... then move to the next thing, and she'll touch everything in site... like pictures and doors, and everything... now I do it with her too, its cute! At church yesterday in the colorful kids hallway with all the animals on it... she was touching everything, then kissed one! A fish... so I said, ok kiss it, and she did it over a few times, then once a bit too hard, hit her lil face on the wall, hehe oops

I tried something with her yesterday... she and I telling each other secrets... I would go pss pss pss in her ear & she would giggle... then I would ask her to tell me a secret, and she'd turn my face to the side & I'd put my ear up to her & then giggle, like she told me one... So Fun!

On my parents bed yesterday I was holdin her hands and would say jump! Oh she LOVED jumping on the bed!!!

Hat, car, smile, chair

She's got this hat that's a parrot and she points to it, then pats her head, so i put it on her & she giggles, hehe... then just now she said Hat!!!

She was doing like a 'Bbbbbbbbb' sound while playing with this car the other day... it was so cute! I mean, maybe 3 or 4 times, i've taken this toy car she has and drove it up her arm and did vroom... but maybe she heard Jeff or Caeden do it earlier that day? Sound affects, yay!

One day Diella made this funny face and we were all cracking up! Its like this huge smile, to where you cant smile any bigger, eyes squinted, nose scrunched, shoulders up... and now we say "Diella, make your funny face" and she does it... its Hilarious, every time!

Diella can climb up into her chair on her own, when its time to eat. Its like a booster seat with a tray that attatches to a regular chair... she did it yesterday & my mouth kinda dropped open, but I guess its ok.... then Just now I was watching her climb on the chair & she wanted down, so I wanted her to try and figure it out for herself (if she's gonna get up on her own, she needs to learn how to get down)... so she squated, dangled her legs, held onto the edge of the table, and slid forward... she hung herself for a second from the table! Then touched the floor with her feet, and went on her way!! It was slightly amazing!

My Poor Girl

Today was SO long! There was a picnic at church for 4th of July, and usually on Sundays Diella only gets one nap, cuz there's so much going on & she doesnt wanna miss anything, so she'll fight it... well she sure did! And only got a half hour nap ALL day! Then she was a lil Batook all day at home! Just SO far Past tired, she got angry at the drop of a hat. I felt bad for the family, seeing her like that... I mean, she had her fun & happy & smile moments today, but it was pretty awful for the most part... finally went to bed a lil early 8:50pm, hope that doesnt affect tomorrow, and also pray she sleeps WELL tonight! Poor honey, there's just too much fun going on to sleep! Uncle Chris is here! And we went to what felt like a million places the past few days, so the poor girl hasnt been on a regular schedule for quite some time... I mean, for as tired as we all are, she's gotta be fried too.

Few other things, while I'm here... yesterday morning, I had the yawns... after about my 5th yawn, Diella opens her mouth wide & breathes... like she was copying my yawn... its was hilarious! Then she did it again... then Jake came out, I asked him to fake yawn, he did, then she copied, haha! Then same thing when Chris came out... then papa, so funny!

Same morning, I asked Diella where her foot was (I dont remember why) but she lifted it to show me!!! She locates her feet, yay! And she's very into putting on shoes right now... her own, other people's, any! Its cute!

SAME morning.... (she's been sitting on command, "sit on your butt") for a while now, but I held her hands and said 'sit down' she sat... then said 'stand up' then she stood, and again & again, cuz she was laughing & I thought it was funny too, so we made it a game! :)

She learned the sign for eat!!!! Finally got it, now she does it all the time!!

And the sign for bath!! She did it before, but I couldnt tell if it was an accident or not (it looks kinda like sign for please)... but she did it again today! So we're up to 7 signs!!!

She used to do the duck sound for every animal.... now every animal she doesnt recognize, its the elephant sound, hehe.... and its not very 'authentic' ... its like her bottom lip comes out & she tries to blow... but she knows its an elephant, I know its an elephant, so it counts :)

She knows what 'chew it up' means... she'll chomp a few times when I say it (usually when she tries to swallow too big of a piece & coughs on it)... I say chew it up & she does better

One day she was doing this thing where she takes her two hands and puts them up by her cheek and tilts her head... and it was so cute I said "awww" .... so now when anyone says 'aww' she does that... its ADORABLE! Need to get a pic of that

Oh and I forgot to blog that she's got this rash on her mouth, musta been some kind of contact thing from a food, we think... people keep thinking we need to wipe her mouth, but its not messy, its irritated.... it makes her look terrible... its not REAL red or anything, and its starting to go away a lil each day, but its been a whole week & we just want it gone! We put a lil antibiotic on it a few times, but hafta do it when she's sleeping or she might lick it... so just pray that is goes away fast!

Is it Good?

(the picture is another one from the day at the zoo, I just think that expression is hilarious!)

Just one or two quick things... When dressing Diella lately, taking off a shirt is say 'arms up' and would lift the shirt up over her head, and the shirt would just pull the arms up, but she now finally does it first, once i say Arms Up, before I lift the shirt... I just love when I see her understand something I say, and so it!

Same with today, even though she's known the sign for help... like most signs, she'll sign it when I say the word... but today she was trying to get up on this stool and she looked at me & signed help! I just love how she's so clearly communicating with me!

Oh and she says "ah ka" for water... its weird... kinda sounds like her quack quack sound, but says it every time she sees her sippy cup of water... weird

(I am watching this snake chaser guy on Animal Planet right now, and I just have to say those guys are so far past insane... "A single drop of this venim could kill an adult human" -as he continues toward the snake, grabbing its tail.... moron! And "lets capture a great shot of this deadly snake" -as I let him crawl up my shirt... what is going through your mind, wack job!!??)

Anyway.... sorry.... last thing... she's so funny, there are a few questions I ask her, and she nods her head every time... they include "Is it good?" (when she's eating) nods... "Are you ready for a nap/for bed?" (when she's tired) nods... "Do you want to eat?" (always... even if she's not hungry) nods ... funny girl! I know she knows what I'm asking, but will nod Yes, no matter what she really wants... hilarious! Now i'm trying to get her to nod when I ask, "Do you love mommy?" heheh

Oh and she finally finds her belly when I ask her where it is!!! Yay!

I'm just so proud of her allt he time, like when I had her at a friends house a few days ago, who also has a little one Diella's age... and she was just astounded by D's comprehension... My Smart Girl!!!
