Even though Diella is going through this somewhat mean stage, she still has her moments where she’s still her sweet self, praise the Lord! Like she’s been so good about manners lately! So often she says ‘thank you mommy’ at the appropriate times, as well as ‘scuse me mommy’ when I may be in her way. I’m such a stickler for manners, I’m so glad she uses them so well already!
She’s been using ‘ing’ words at the right times, which I think is cool. Like she has said running, hiding, cleaning, raining. I like that!
The other day, my mom and I witnessed the most freaky thing! Diella said a word that I didn’t know she knew, and was wondering where she may have picked it up from? So I went to my mom and said “hey mom, earlier today, Diella said the word, (and I spelled it) s-c-a-r-y” …. Diella looks at Ahna and goes “scary!” … our mouths dropped & our eyes popped and we were like WHAT!!?? I’m sure it was coincidence, but it was… well scary! Haha! (we figured out later that we use that word casually a lot, like for example, if she’s standing on a chair or something, we say its scary… so not like frightened scary, but more like nervous scary, must be how she knows it.)
Diella is coming closer & closer to singing the whole alphabet… right now, it sounds like this… “A-B-C, E-F-G, H-I-J, O-P, Q-R-S, TV TV, Y-Z, Now I ABCs, sing with me” … so we’re still missing a few letters, and a few words at the end, but its So cute! I especially like the ‘t-u-v’ part, she says ‘tv tv’! She skips a few letters in the middle… And she used to do W and X, dunno where they went?
Last night, cutest thing!... we were saying our prayers before bed and she’s been doing then almost all by herself lately… it starts “Jesus, thank you, for mommy & daddy” … then we mention all grandparents names…. And last night she goes “Jesus, thank you, Elmo” !! Thanked God for Elmo, how cute! And then at the end, when we said Amen, she took her stuffed Elmo’s hands & made them do the Amen sign! Hilarious!
