Diva

Diella has learned a few new words... we've taught her how to put her hands on her hips & move her shoulders, and that this is how you pose, & she says "pose" (like in the pix above) ... so we were on Skype the other night with Diella's aunt, Jake's sis, Caty, and I was having Diella do this for Caty, so as she's entertaining us & we're giggling, I say 'what a Diva' and Diella goes "Diva!" Haha!

There are a few words, 'pose' being one of them, that Diella has changed her pronounciation on a bit... a few others include out, house, bounce, and down... when she says these words now, she pushes her lips out on the 'o' sound... try it... it sounds hilarious!

She said a FOUR word sentence the other day! She was sharing her snack with this stuffed animal, a cow... and she said "Cow, have some, more" !!!! Yay!

Time out has been working quite well with Diella... and now she has decided that she wants to be on the other end of the punishment... so more than once I have seen her put her stuffed animals in time out, she sets them sitting against the wall (just like we do with her when she's in time out), and points a finger at them and says "Sit. Up." Which is like what I say to her, ('SIT there & dont get UP til mommy says')... I cant decided if I think its funny or if it scares me a little that she's doing this... I guess it's probly normal... and yes, funny

I think she used to do this a long time ago, but lately she has this forced laugh that she does, and she drags it out til she's out of breath. She was doing it in the bath the other night, cracking me up, and she'll do it other times, like when she's hyper, or trying to entertain us, you Gotta hear it!

There are alot of things lately that Diella wants to try to do herself, and she says "self" all the time... jus simple things like putting her socks on, or putting her clothes away, its cute.

My dad dropped a glass the other night, and later that evening Diella stepped on a tiny piece of glass that didnt get swept up... she cried & we put a bandaid on it, and she did what she usually does... reminded us all night (and the day after) of her wound... she would point to her foot & say 'glass' ... and she also was calling the bandaid, a headband, I thot that was adorable, lol... everytime I would correct her, "bandaid" , and she's go 'headband' hehe

She still loves her lil brother, kissin & huggin him all the time... in fact, often when I'm holding him, she'll start panting & running in place, saying "hug hug hug" until I let her hug him... but also often times she hugs him when he's asleep in his chair, she practically smothers him... I'm really glad he never seems to mind.

Too cute! I love the headbands being bandaides and the new pronunciation of "ooo" and all of it! It is just so cute. This is the BEST age!
